Hello!!
My
name is Jesse L. Medford. I am
the Founder and President of Challenge Coin Association (ANA Member #3139290).
The World's
Premier Forum to discuss Challenge
Coins.
I
am
proud to announce, that in a little over a year since our inception,
CCA
has gotten the word out to
the rest of the numismatists
and the exonumia
community. Articles are being published on a near daily
basis, talking about
our
favorite coins. Members of Challenge
Coin Association have even had their coins written about.
Some of us, have also been published writing about military
Challenge
Coin collecting too.
We have moved up from an association that just talks about coins, to an
organization that helps you get your coins
custom made. Our
contributions have considerably helped in
Setting the Standards
in the Challenge Coin industry. Not only that, CCA
has filled job orders by connecting Freelance Graphic Artists
with Challenge Coin
companies looking for designers. We have everybody
who is
anybody in the Challenge Coin community, as members.
That is
why we get the
lowest prices and the best quality work, from the top manufacturers.
Power in numbers!
ChallengeCoinAssociation.org was
launched on February 5th,
2006 because I couldn't find any coin collectors willing to
talk about
Challenge Coins. That is why the current mission of
CCA is
to bring
collectors of Challenge Coins together, to learn more about the hobby,
and share stories of their favorite coins.
It all started in Raynham, MA by purchasing this url, and then
launching a
simple
eBay
Group. The intent was to start
ongoing discussions
about all the different types
of Challenge Coins. Military, Police, Fire, Sports, Fraternal
Organizations, etc. The participation in this forum, far
exceeded any
other Challenge Coin Message Board out there. Just try to
find one with
more participation in the discussion of
Challenge
Coins. From CCA's many
discussion threads, we have been able
to direct other members to the coins they want and also help unload the
ones we don't want.
CCA has been achieving many milestones. In less than three months,
Challenge Coin Association had gained well over 100 members.
Less than
a year later with a new location, headquartered in Concord, NC, CCA had
reached 400 members. CCA has its own Challenge Coins
for members
and another Challenge Coin to present as an award.
Many members design
custom Challenge Coins and have
them minted.
CCA
even has members who will appraise or grade your collection.
